Let's just say - I've had much, much better. In other words, there's no need to feel guilty about busting out the Halloween candy early and unwrapping a Reese's (or three) this weekend. I probably will not return anytime soon - the service was shoddy, the staff behaviour a let down and food quite mediocre. The waffles are pretty good, but not really worth the price. Not to mention we didn't just drop by 10 minutes before closing, we came way before that in the early evening. The nonchalance of the staff riled me just as much as the fact that a cafe/bar can run out of "ice" knowing that demand for it will be high during the summer. We settled the first time for a warm drink but the second time I brought my brother over to sample the food and drink but they were "out of ice" yet again, which is frustrating to say the least, since I had came all the way *just* to patronise their bar/cafe. Twice I came during the late Summer evenings and they were "out of ice". The drinks were quite ok, but I must say the service is horrendous. Perhaps they meant it to taste that way but it stayed quite unpleasantly at the back of my mouth even a few hours later, akin to a thick silicon or rubber layer. I thought the iced drinks had quite a strong powdery aftertaste. My friends had their hot chocolate (>$6). I've been here with a couple of friends several times and have tried their Belgian Chocolate Waffles ($10) and their Iced Chocolate drinks (>$6). A very jazzy uptown looking novelty cafe/bar offering - no surprises here - chocolate beverages and inspired desserts.
